Helpful HubPages Tips

I have only been with HubPages for a few months and do not have a huge number of Hubs yet due to my busy schedule. The other hurdle has been finding out about this site. Most of the information is clear, but there are still some areas of confusion. For example, I was not clear on the Hub Status until I found a request that someone else made about it. I read the answer and found out that the status is basically a system used to weed out spammers. The table is found on the FAQ page.

Another area I was unsure of was the banners and ads for the site. I wanted to mention it here not only to help my fellow Hubbers, but for a selfish reason as well. (It took some time to find and I do not want to loose it again.) http://hubpages.com/help/ads

A great source of inspiration and help comes from the Requests link at the top of the pages. In fact, I decided to write this Hub because of it.

I really enjoy writing on Hubpages, and hope to possibly make some money from it someday. I have read other Hubber's Hubs about how they made over $300 a month and some of them explain it, but I don't seem to be doing as well.

If anyone has any suggestions, tips and tricks, or ideas, please let me know. Leave a comment and share with your fellow Hubbers. Thanks!

I'm fairly new here as well but here's my 2cents. Check out the hubs in the Hot Hubs and the Best Hubs and then try to determine what makes them Hot and Best and maybe you can apply what you get from them on your hubs. When I first started out, I was told to be patient and don't be too paranoid about the hits etc. Truth be told, the last I checked my adsense figures... well...indeed, good things come to those who wait! Just keep on pounding away! :D

I also read that HubPages is only in its second year and has already passed other blog sites such as Squidoo in terms of traffic and traffic per hub. Not bad! HubPages has ranked 192 in the websites most viewed by Americans! We should all be proud to be a part of a great site!
