I know everyone is doing a story, blog, hub, lens, post ..., but I am going to anyways.I think there is room for one more.

The first few days of a new Presidential administration are always interesting, but President Obama has really made some big decisions in less than his first 100 hours. All the top news sites have had headlines and top stories all day, every day so far about the decisions. One of the top stories, of course, Obama has lifted the ban on sending money for medical needs, mostly abortion, out of the country. This is a significant change. The news came on the day after the 36th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade case that legalized abortion. Lots of news sites are reporting this story, but my source is BBC at http://news.bbc.co.uk

I think that it is interesting and important to note that a great deal of American news is reported, and sited, from the BBC, the British Broadcasting Corporation. If you do not think we are living in a global world, or a "flat" world, take a look around. The whole world followed America into recession.

Speaking of the recession, Obama has plans for a $825 billion stimulus package that includes some "shovel" work. Obama's plan includes aspects of the Depression era stimulus plan, which included putting many people to work building the country's infrastructure. It worked then, to some degree, why not now? The war was the biggest reason for getting out of the Depression, but we are already in a war. In fact, Obama has also started plans to get us out of the war.

That's right, according to The New York Times, "Obama tells generals to plan for withdrawal." I am happy to hear this news, I have never been a fan of this war, but I am wary of the trouble a bad move could make. One of the reasons we have not pulled out before this is because of the trouble we could cause by leaving.

As I am watching what is happening now, I am constantly looking to the future. All I can say for sure is, things are going to be different. "Change has come to America!"

I share your concern about what trouble a bad move can make. We'll just have to wait and see. My hope is that our President will do well overall.

Thanks for sharing.
